Is The Distribution of ACTN3 and ACE Polymorphism Associated With Athletic Performance in Japanese Wrestlers?

α-actinin-3 (ACTN3) and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) gene are two of the most studied "performance genes" and both have been associated with muscle composition, muscle strength and athletic performance. The above data suggested that the distribution of ACTN3 R577X and ACEI/D genotype would be associated with Japanese elite wrestlers.
(本研究では、レスリング選手を対象としてACTN3遺伝子とACE遺伝子多型の組み合わせと競技実績について検討したものである。その結果、ACTN3 Rallele + ACE DD genotypeの組み合わせが競技実績に関連する遺伝子多型であることが確認されたことについて報告した。)
