Three experiments were carried out in an attempt to investigate the effects of physical training on red blood cell properties and on the amount of total hemoglobin (THb). There were significant linear relationships between RBC and Hb before, on, and after training. Due to the significant differences between the regression lines of RBC and Hb before and after training, it was suggested that Hb, which is contained in RBC, increased during training.
